Area RC flyer and Flying Knights Club President, Eric Williams has been appointed as the new AMA District II Associate Vice President for the eastern New York - Albany area. Eric will replace the outgoing Adam Sattler, who can now enjoy a long deserved retirement after many years of service. Eric’s appointment as AVP is a great boost for aeromodeling and should go a long way in helping our local AMA members and clubs.

According to Eric, "we’re entering an exciting period of increasing RC flying in Eastern New York." With the establishment of Capitol Jets and Capitol Area Warbirds, as well as significant local electric and park flyer activity, he’s probably right. Eric says his first prioirty is helping local clubs and AMA members through better communication of AMA services and support. He also wants to work on better connections between clubs in the region.

With nearly 30 years of flying and involvement in numerous area RC clubs, Eric has served as President in two clubs and as a BOD member for three others. He is also an AMA Contest Director and an AMA Leader Member, the highest level of AMA membership
